HOW IT STARTED …..

Maria Unda has always had the vocation and love for children, which led her to graduate as an early childhood teacher. This allowed her to work in this country for more than 20 years in early childhood education in a variety of centers and public schools. Since August 2024, she has been doing it from her home, serving the children of the Fairfax community, and she does it with the Montessori method. She is a certified Montessori guide. The method allows us to work by following the children’s interests, fostering autonomy and independence, and learning at their own pace, in an environment of love, respect, and exclusive materials.

Our mission is to support children from 4 months to 6 years in their educational, emotional, and social development, within a Montessori environment prepared with love and respect.

We strive to provide a space where each child can learn at their own pace, explore their interests, and develop cognitive, motor, and language skills, while strengthening their independence and autonomy.

At the same time, we promote emotional growth, helping children recognize and express their feelings, build self-confidence, and form relationships based on respect and empathy.

Our mission is also to instill lifelong values such as responsibility, kindness, and a love of learning, nurturing happy, confident children who are prepared for the challenges of the future.

Who
we are

Learning Tree Montessori is a year-round home-based daycare in Fairfax city, VA. Our family child care program is led by Maria Unda and her assistant Elsa Ramos. Maria has 35 years of child care experience and has a Bachelor's degree. We are open from 7:30am until 5:30pm and care for children as young as 6 months through 6 years old. We offer full time and part-time care. We provide breakfast lunch and snacks . We use a Montessori curriculum. To learn more, please call us or send us an email.

Learning Tree Montessori es una guardería en el hogar durante todo el año en Fairfax city, VA. Nuestro programa de cuidado infantil familiar está a cargo de Maria Unda y su asistenta Elsa Ramos. Maria tiene 35 años de experiencia en cuidado infantil y tiene una licenciatura. Estamos abiertos de 7:30 a. m. a 5:30 p. m. y atendemos a niños desde los 6 meses hasta los 6 años. Ofrecemos cuidado de tiempo completo, y tiempo parcial.
